Kingston Lacy and Olympus E-M1

Kingston Lacy and Olympus E-M1

Hi everyone, this is just going to be a small update with regards to my continuing journey using the new Olympus E-M1 mk2 mirrorless camera.

I did put together a small article a few weeks ago about changing from Fuji to Olympus and you can read about that here – (Fuji or Olympus)

I shall also be doing a more detailed blog in the next few weeks after I have used this fantastic camera at a few more weddings, as many of you know, I’m a full time wedding photographer in Bath, just on the somerset border.

The gallery of images in this article are straight out of the camera; I have mentioned before about the too and fro in my small brain as to RAW or Jpeg, when you view these images, I personally feel that the Jpegs are incredible; yes, I know there may be those Pro’s! Who will argue the opposite, composition, lighting, shadows etc etc, however, forgetting about the pixel peeping, using a magnifying glass to view at 100% crop, the images straight out of this camera are phenomenal.

I keep making minor adjustments to my pre-sets and once I’m satisfied I have the camera set to my prefered style I will detail my settings in another blog.

Just before I head out for my walk, I wanted to also let you know that I have the Olympus 12-100mm pro lens making its way to my door and once I have had the opportunity to try that beast, i’ll let you know how I get on.

Oh, and one last thought, the images were all taken at the incredible Kingston Lacy – Dorset, wonderful venue that was owned by the Banks family, well worth a visit, take your camera for some stunning photos.
