The FX Works offers Wedding Photography * Video that is STRIKING, SENSITIVE, SPECIAL.

I have always been moved by beautiful images, I believe that capturing a millisecond of life with a camera demands a connection between the photographer and the subject.

I love working with natural light, keeping the true ambiance of the scene, over use of flash alters the look and feel of the image, if there are soft light’s, candle lit rooms, then I love to capture this within the photograph where possible.

My images are not processed with effects through software as with many photographers today, the reason behind this is quite simple, if something caught my attention, I want to capture this as is, why take a photograph of a beautiful subject, with the lighting, composition and emotion and then alter what first drew the attention with over processing.

If you want to have wonderful Full colour, Black & white and Sepia images of your wedding, that won't date due to fashions, then thefxworks Photography is for you.

"Recording a wedding is more than taking images; it's having the ability to really understand and sense the life emotion and feelings, then to capture this artistically without impacting on anyone involved"  - Michael Gane (thefxworks)

The above statement confirms my desire to produce fabulous imagery that not only records your day but will still be in vogue for many years to come.

I have been capturing weddings with the art of film and photography throughout the UK and abroad for 18 years, recording the exuberant celebrity wedding through to the quaint family wedding in quiet little villages.

It is my sole desire to capture these special moments for you, with film and photography.

Working in a genuinely unobtrusive way to capture perfect images, my unique and stylish approach will provide you with a wedding video and images of the highest quality. Titles, finishing details and your choice of music add a personal touch, something to truly treasure forever.

Anyone can pick up a camera, but to fashion a piece of art involves far more than merely shooting and filming. I fully believe that the art of capturing an image is an emotional experience requiring the inner capacity to imprint ones feelings through the lens onto the sensor and thus bringing the image to life.

This is what turns a picture from being a “snapshot” into an image that impacts on your emotions.

Capturing the perfect exposure is paramount in producing beautiful photographs, with today’s technology, the thought process is; take the picture and then enhance this through software. However I am a firm believer in capturing the perfect exposure first and foremost. Only then, can you enhance the image through post-processing, making those minor adjustments to produce a photograph that makes the viewer say “Wow”!

My style of work is very composed; I love to create beautiful imagery, magazine like portraits that will last for ever.
